Diamond Skies Safaris was founded by former tour guide Lucy Ryan after years spent travelling across Africa, inspecting camps, learning from exceptional guides and asking far more questions than most people probably expected.
But unlike many safari specialists, Lucy didn't grow up in Africa or spend her childhood going on safari. She arrived as many of her clients do: excited, fascinated and with very little understanding of just how different one safari can be from another.
Her first safari taught her one of the most valuable lessons of all.
It's not enough to know where you want to go.
You also need to know the questions to ask.
Since then, Lucy has travelled thousands of miles across Africa, learning what truly makes each destination unique. Not simply which places are the most famous, but who they are best suited to.
That philosophy remains at the heart of Diamond Skies Safaris today.
Our role isn't simply to book a safari. It's to ask the questions you don't yet know to ask.
There is no such thing as the best safari destination. There is only the best safari destination for you.
Lucy is supported by a team of experienced travellers who have explored Africa alongside her and have travelled extensively around the world. Together, we combine first-hand knowledge, meticulous planning and genuinely personal service to create safaris that are tailored not to what's popular, but to what's right for you.
